The sky is burnt out but i like it. This is a very interesting place. It is called 'the strid'. At this point the whole of the river wharf passes through a meter wide gap. It is mad, and prone to flash flooding. In early 2000 a honeymooning couple stood at this very place and were swept away in a flash flood. It took weeks to find them as the water is so deep. This pic is in their memory. Not that I know / knew them, but having just got married myself I can related to the enormity of this tragedy.
