When i was a kid we used to walk here. My uncle used to swim here. Apparently my great great grandfather died here. Between the ages of 14 and 16 we used to have beach parties here, drink cheap wine and smoke here. I find peace here.

metal_men

The artist Antony Gormley set up 100 life sized metal men along 1km of crosby beach (near where i grew up). I have visited it a few times over the last year or so. They are due to be taken down in November and sold to a beach owner in America. They might be appearing on a beach near you soon. They give such an atmosphere. I have tried to capture the mood with tilt shift :)

This was taken at Malham Cove (Yorkshire dales UK). Well worth a visiting- especially with your camera machine. I didn’t get many good pics on this day (hence the experimental post processing on this image). It looks a little like a model of a Yorkshire landscape. I kinda like that :D

This is White-Wells on Ilkley moor. It is a place were people of the town used to go to bath and one of the reasons why Ilkley is as wealthy as it is. White Wells itself is not much to see really but the moor is fantastic. The UK equivalent of a desert I suppose.

Named after an Elliot Smith song that i cannot get out of my head at the moment. This picture was taken on Ilkley moor (north-yorks UK) at the start of the summer. I never tire of this landscape - or the sunsets :)

This was taken at the 'cow and calf' rocks near Ilkley, Yorkshire, England. I live near here and am determined i am gonna do a good job of pic-ing these rocks........ This is not the shot, but it has given me the idea of what the final shot will be.......

I like this one cause of the tiny climber nimbling up next to the rock.

This image looks almost computer generated on my monitor....... i have done nothing to it at all - this is exactly how it came off the camera. I was tempted to add some grain to make it look more like a natural shot - but then i decided the i liked it as it is ;)
